Wave barrette updo with short hair
Not much changes with shorter hair in order to use this barrette. If you have extra long hair, see this tutorial or this one!
Twist your hair into a coil.
Orient the coil up your head like you would to put your hair up using a plastic claw clip (Darn things’ll put me out of business!).
Since you have less hair to hold up and this barrette holds a lot, grab as much hair with the barrette as you can from the sides of your head, right and left of the coiled hair. Make sure you are sliding the arm of the barrette across your scalp at the roots of your hair.
Secure the clasp of the clip, and that’s it! Super cute!
If your hair is super short or you have lots of shorter layers, but you are still able to put it in a ponytail with an elastic, try starting with a low ponytail before following the instructions.
As I always say about using my hair accessories: it’s all about the technique, not the hair amount or texture!
