Secure Your Headscarf Headband with the Leaf Barrette

I love to add a pop of color to my outfit with a scarf headband. It’s a very cute and practical way to keep flyaways out of your face!

Maybe it’s just the shape of my head, but I find I need to secure my scarf headband to prevent it from slipping off. Does anyone else have this problem?? Even if this doesn’t happen to you, you might want to secure your headband with something cute like the Small Leaf Barrette!

I make my headband using a vintage square scarf. First fold the scarf into a triangle, then roll or fold it up to create a long strip.

Holding the ends, put the scarf under your hair behind your head and tie a knot on top of your head, adjusting the knot and scarf ends as desired. You can tuck the ends into the band or leave them out like I am doing here. You could even slide the knot to the back of your head to hide it underneath your hair.

Just like you would a bobby pin, slide the leaf barrette into your hair where it grips the scarf and your hair.

And we’re off! Flyaways be gone.

I’m also wearing Gourd Hoops, the Sublime Bridge Cuff, and a leaf ear climber, all in sterling silver.
